WHO WE ARE
Meet Eric + Dana
“In 2016, we were living a busy life in Los Angeles working in two demanding industries, leading in our local church and fully engaged in our community. 12 years into marriage, with a stable home environment and no biological children, we knew we had love to give and an open home ready to receive. We were introduced to the foster care system through a series of fortunate events, and after some research and reflection, we quickly realized becoming foster parents was the path ahead for us.
Dana is a gifted mother, musician, and event producer. Eric is a rad dad, writer, and book worm. Together our mission is to provide a safe and loving environment that allows children to heal, grow, and develop healthy attachments that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Since our first foster placement in 2017, we have experienced some of the highest and the lowest times of our lives. The difficulty and pain for everyone involved in the foster care system is real, but we can truly say that any hardship we’ve faced pales in comparison to the opportunity to love and care for the children that are entrusted to us for any length of time. They have been our greatest gift.
Our Open House was formed out of the desire to provide resources and community for those interested, and those already involved, in foster care. We are here to provide answers to your questions, share our real experiences, and partner with amazing organizations that are supporting this under-served community. There are so many ways to open your home and we hope to encourage you in finding yours.”
