The mission of Our Open House is to provide resources for current and prospective foster and foster-to-adopt families, and to tangibly support the foster community as a whole.
Through generous donations and financial contributions, we are able to provide support to foster families. Every donation fills a direct need in this under-served community! We partner with the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services, and with other local, foster care focused, charitable organizations, to provide items in the areas of comfort, rest, travel and baby essentials.
Comfort: baby blankets, stuffed animals, lovies
Rest: cribs, bassinets, crib sheets
Travel: duffle bags, car seats, strollers, backpacks
Essentials: diapers, wipes, bottles, formula
With each contribution, the option is given to designate an area of impact. Our Open House will use these funds to purchase and deliver essential items for foster families in need, as designated by DCFS, our partner organizations, or through direct requests. Whether it be a family receiving an emergency placement and needing a crib, or a backpack needed by a foster youth headed back to school, your generosity will significantly impact the lives of these children and families.
Our Open House is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity and all contributions are tax deductible.

Our Open House is a registered 501(c)(3). Funds received over and above the current budget of the solicited purpose will be put into a designated area of need, or into the general fund.
